Tove Valley Baptist Fellowship
Whats on at TVBF:

YOUTH
At Tove Valley Baptist Fellowship we aim to;
Provide a safe, caring, loving, yet challenging environment in which children and young people encounter God and respond positively to the Gospel of Jesus.  Through sound Bible teaching, positive relationships and personal examples, as well as actively teaching God's values, we aim to lead children and young people towards personal faith and growth into Christian maturity.  We recognise that children and young people have an important role to play in the life of the church and of the community.
We recognise that children and young people are part of our fellowship today. They have much to give as well as receive. We will listen to them as we disciple them in Christian teaching & values, as well as in community life, we will respect their wishes and feelings.

As members of Tove Valley Baptist Fellowship, we commit ourselves to the discipling, protection and safekeeping of all, especially our children and young people.
We recognise that it is the responsibility of each one of us to safeguard children and young people from physical, sexual, spiritual and emotional abuse, as well as neglect, and to report any abuse discovered or suspected.
We recognise that our work with children and young people is the responsibility of the whole church.
We are committed to support, resource and train those who work with children and young people.
We are committed to following the Baptist Union of Great Britain's booklet Safe to Grow. This draws upon the 13 recommendations set out in the Home Office Code of Practice Safe From Harm.

Sunday School
At both congregations there is around an hour of interactive learning and sharing time each week during the main service, for all children and young people.  We use stories, creative work, activities, drama & games to build a faith and understanding of the things of God, principally by discovering what the Bible says and relating this to the children's lives.
Sunday School is co-ordinated by Rosie Binley  at Towcester, and Phil Drage at Weston

Crèche
Crèche is available at Towcester and runs concurrently with the latter part of the morning service.

Youth Club
Two groups meet each Friday evening, in venues around Towcester.  The Junior group is for years 4- 6 and the senior group (Pioneers) for years 7- 9.
The groups are social, although Pioneers use events such as trust & simulation games to introduce spiritual & moral issues.  The main aim is, whilst having fun, to build relationships between young people and also between the young people and the leaders.

Group 6
Meeting on Sunday evenings at 7pm for school years 10 upwards, the group provides an environment for young people to grow together in their understanding of Christianity and its relevance to the world in which they are growing up.  Evenings vary from purely social to Bible studies and topical discussions.

Ckers
Ckers is a youth club run jointly by TVBF and the parish church in Helmdon for children in school years 4 -7. It meets twice a month on a Sunday at various venues,
from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
Evenings are spent doing a huge variety of things, including a hike, trips out, making mosaics, hanging baskets, tie-dying T shirts, and musical evenings..

We are also running a group for year 8 children, just as much fun but less structured.

Youth Cells
Midweek there are peer led cells of between 5 and 8 in size run.  It is here that young people get an opportunity to explore the application of their faith and worship together.  Cell groups are for young people from year 5 onwards and run in both Towcester and Helmdon.
